John F Kennedy International Airport Ground Transportation

Introduction

JFK International Airport is served by a wide range of ground transportation options. Taxis, buses, shuttles, and limousines are available at all nine terminals. Ground transportation information counters providing information and reservations for buses, vans, and limousines are situated on the lower baggage claim level of each terminal.

Train Services

When traveling to JFK International Airport, it is very convenient for travelers to take the Long Island Rail Road or the E, J, Z subways to Jamaica Station, or the A subway to Howard Beach / JFK Airport Station. Travelers leaving the airport can take the AirTrain to Jamaica or Howard Beach stations then catch the respective trains from those stations.

Taxi Services

Taxis are available at JFK International Airport. For travelers to Manhattan, a flat rate is charged while any other destination within the New York City limits is a metered charge.

Bus Services

The New York City Transit bus lines and the Green bus line offer a wide range of buses traveling in various routes to Jamaica or Howard Beach stations, from where travelers can use the AirTrain to reach the airport.
